  • La Casita de la Abuela Hostal Verde - Asuncion - ParaguayLa Casita de la Abuela Hostal Verde
My name is Javier and since childhood I took a liking to travel due to family vacations. As I grew older, the adventurous spirit was awakened in me the urge to go new places with their people, their culture, their food, their customs and stories.

I traveled through several cities in the interior of my dear Paraguay and several beautiful places in different countries and it was the first time I stay in a place like a hostel felt like start this project ... from then on when traveling alone it staying at hostels, inns, family houses, places that provide a cozy, warm and familiar atmosphere, where one is not a number, but a person with stories and meet more people with stories to share.
The house Grandma Hostal Verde is that place, a place that one enters being a stranger, but when you go does being a friend, a place that is like a friend once (Jordan Vargas) titled it "your home away From home".
Grandma's house Hostal Verde, why that name? For two reasons:
First, because the hostel is mounted on the house of my grandmother, she called Ida and is a lovely, gentle, caring and loving grandmother. The second because as she and my other grandparents showed me the grandparents' house is the place where you always feel at ease, comfortable, cared for, loved and that is what I offer.
Green is partly due to my love of nature, I try to keep the hostel gardens as green as possible, trying to recreate a field environment within the city center.   Al same time try to promote recycling, composting, conscious purchasing, waste separation and other factors that help keep our planet a little healthier.
When you pass through Asuncion, I invite you to know the house and share with me a rich Terere!
     A hug.
